Norwich Army ROTC places 2nd at the Northern Warfare Challenge
The competition tested the cadets' adaptability and skillset with trials of essential winter survival techniques and a rigorous written exam, culminating with a 16-mile journey on Grandad Bluff at Fort McCoy.
Norwich Army ROTC is proud to have placed 2nd out of 51 teams at the annual Northern Warfare Challenge hosted by the Eagle Battalion at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse.
The competition tested the cadets' adaptability and skillset with trials of essential winter survival techniques and a rigorous written exam. While the first day's events were held at Fort McCoy, on the second day, the cadets embarked on a 16-mile journey ending at the flagpole on Grandad Bluff.
The Northern Warfare Challenge allows cadets to come together to engage in rigorous competition, strengthening their camaraderie and honing leadership skills. This event highlights their dedication to duty and determination to excel as future army officers.
